What time zone are you in?

Anneau de Résilience is based in France, and all times are listed in Central European Time (CET).

I am a clinician and want to see if a support group is right for my client. Can I attend?

No. This space is reserved for survivors to find community and collective healing. Please respect that this space is exclusively for survivors.

Can I get text/call reminders?

No. We only offer support group reminders via email.

Who can participate?

Anyone over 18 years old who has experienced sexual violence is invited to participate. Specific groups may cater to different communities, such as women and LGBTQIA+ individuals.

Do you offer a men’s group?

The Men’s Online Support Group is currently on hiatus due to low participation and staffing changes. Interested individuals can join the waitlist for future notifications.

How many people are in each group?

For drop-in groups, we do not limit registration numbers, but we cap participation at 15 people per meeting to ensure a supportive environment. Special workshops and series may have different caps.

How are support groups facilitated?

Each Anneau de Résilience group is facilitated by at least one staff member, volunteer, or intern. Facilitators ensure the comfort and safety of participants, guide discussions, and present materials to spark conversation. Meetings typically include an ice-breaker, topic-based discussion, free share time, and a closing ritual.

What platform will you be using for online support groups?

Our online support groups will use Zoom. While we strive to maintain the highest level of confidentiality, Zoom is a third-party platform, and we cannot guarantee complete protection from malicious eavesdropping. By participating, you accept this possibility.

What technology do I need?

Zoom is accessible through any web browser and via apps for computers and mobile devices. You don’t need an account, but you can create one for convenience. If you lack access to these tools, please contact us to arrange for phone participation.

Why do I have to register?

Registration helps ensure confidentiality and safety for all participants, preventing disruptions.

How will you protect privacy?

We only collect your email address to send the invitation. No identifying information will be stored or shared. Participants must also adhere to our guidelines to protect privacy.

Do I have to use my webcam or my real name?

No. You can choose whether to share your webcam or not and can use any name you are comfortable with. Including pronouns is optional.

Are these support groups free?

Yes, our support groups are always free.

Are support groups the same as counseling or group therapy?

No. Support groups are peer-led spaces to share experiences, process feelings, and support one another. They are not a substitute for professional counseling or therapy.

Are children allowed to attend?

No. Children are not permitted in our groups to ensure a safe and focused environment for participants.

Looking for a different type of group than what’s listed here?

Please contact us! We are planning additional groups for various populations and would like to hear what you are looking for.
